With more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines is made for island hopping. Here is a two-week route that balances beaches with adventure.
El Nido (4 nights)
El Nido on Palawan is famous for its boat tours through limestone lagoons. Tour A includes the Big Lagoon; Tour C has hidden beaches and shrines.
Coron (3 nights)
A ferry ride north, Coron offers Kayangan Lake, hot springs and world-class wreck diving on Second World War Japanese ships.
Cebu and Bohol (5 nights)
Fly to Cebu for canyoneering at Kawasan Falls and the sardine run at Moalboal, then ferry to Bohol for the Chocolate Hills, tarsiers and Panglao's beaches.
Tips
- December to May is the driest period.
- Leave buffer days: ferries and flights can be delayed by weather.
